Jack Arnold

Hi, I’m Jack Arnold

I co-founded AVID Financial Planning in 2013 with one goal – to help families find their best path toward a life free of financial anxiety.

Tell me about your education and how long you have been in your field?

I graduated from Florida State University in 2003 with a B.S. in Economics, and have been in the investment/financial advising field since the beginning of my career.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?

Professionally, I am most passionate about helping people design a financial life that allows them to achieve and do the things that are most important to them. Many times it’s hard for people to even articulate what is most important, or what their values are, and playing a role in helping figure that out is fun too.

Personally, I am most passionate about learning more and getting the most out of my ability, and generally being “less dumb” as time goes on. It will certainly be a life long pursuit, and I don’t know that I will ever squeeze every last bit of what is possible out of myself, or every bit of dumb, but I am committed to trying.

Finish this sentence. On Saturday mornings, you can usually find me…

Either at the gym or on a long walk with my wife and then going to St Pete Bagel to undo all the effort that we just put in.

Outside of your amazing co-workers, who do you spend your time with?

I spend most of my time outside of work with my wife, Jessica. My daughter, Alexandra, is away at college right now.   Otherwise, it would be her too. Actually, now that we have been working from home so much I probably spend most of my time with the cat and dog, Remy and Libby.

Who is the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT)?  LeBron or Jordan?

What a silly question. Lebron obviously. Athletes are bigger, stronger, and faster than ever before so how could you not say the guy that is dominating right now? Jordan has better sneakers though, I’ll give him that. He’s a better gambler too.
